Deep tissue massage therapy is similar to Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. Deep tissue massage therapy goes beyond relaxation. Deep tissue massage is exceptionally beneficial for helping to increase the level of oxygen in the blood, helping to decrease muscle toxins, helping to improve circulation and helping flexibility while easing tension.
